UPDATE: Brett Favre’s agent, Bus Cook, confirmed to USA TODAY that Favre was headed to Minnesota and that he would sign with the Vikings.

“It’s a done deal,” Cook told USA TODAY’s Skip Wood.

Here’s the rest of the report that Favre will in fact sign with th.

On Monday, Vikings QB Tarvaris Jackson, who was the team’s primary starter last season, was asked what he thought of the reports.

“I didn’t hear it, somebody told me about it,” Jackson said of Glazer’s article. “I didn’t watch it on TV or anything like that. I think guys are just doing their job. Just trying to get people to watch their station, you all try to sell papers, that’s how it is.

“I pretty much have said [Favre] probably will follow me even when I retire. I’ll probably have to hear about it. I’m just trying to take care of my business, and I can’t worry about that stuff. If I let that stuff get to me, ain’t no telling where I’d be right now. I just let it roll off my shoulder and just keep going. Just keep trying to get better.”

We wonder if he’s changing his tune with the latest developments here on Tuesday.

****** EARLIER ******

First, reports surfaced that Brett Favre boarded a plane at 9:10 a.m. in Hattiesburg, Miss., and was headed for Minnesota.

WISN 12 News in Milwaukee has the report. They said that according to the Hattiesburg Laurel Regional Airport, a plane with the Vikings logo on its tail left Mississppi this morning and was bound for Minneapolis.

Then, Mark Rosen of WCCO-TV in Minneapolis reported that a high-level source within the Vikings organization says that Favre was expected to sign with the team today.

Jay Glazer, who yesterday wrote a column predicting that Favre would land with the Vikings this season. Glazer quoted several Vikings players who said they thought the move would happen. Today, Glazer reports that a Vikings player had confirmed that Favre is in fact headed for Minnesota and that a deal could be done as early as tonight.

ESPN’s Chris Mortensen reports that a source close to Favre says, pending a physical, the QB will sign a $10-12 million deal.

Yahoo Sports! says a high-placed NFL source said that Favre’s agent, Bus Cook, spent a majority of Monday checking in with the Vikings on a one-year, $12 million deal for Favre to become a Viking this season.

Pro Football Talk first tipped us off to Rosen’s report, but had already reported earlier that rumors were rampant about Favre being on his way to the Minneapolis area.

Little Cob Cabin

Little Cob Cabin

I hope to some day move into this cabin.

Building with Cob

This beautiful cabin was built by members of cobworks.com and cob cottage. Located in Mayne Island British Columbia, Canada.

Cob is a mixture of sand clay and straw - wet enough to mold yet dry enough to build up without forms. Walls are built up to be monolithic, which gives them greater strength in earthquakes. Cob invites your creativity to be expressed in the process of building your space: living space, meditation space, work space, sleeping space, play-space. Build curved walls, arches, and niches. And who says that walls are flat? All it takes to make the step towards your dream space is a fairly short learning process, to gain a sense for the material. A fun way of learning is to participate in a workshop, where you work on a structure and learn hands-on, with opportunity to discuss your ideas with others, pick up knowledge of the whole process and meet new friends.

Outside of Rio de Janeiro, on a beautiful little beach with amazing blue water, sits a little house with a flowering roof that shades and protects like a big tropical banana leaf. Designed by Mareines + Patalano, the open air abode is meant to encourage interaction and connection between man and nature. With verandas and open spaces in between rooms and no corridors, the tropical beach house is an ideal place for social gatherings and parties. The open layout also takes advantage of trade winds that blow in from the sea, providing natural ventilation and passive cooling.

The architects describe their design as low-tech eco-efficient, due to the use of natural ventilation for cooling. Homes in the tropics rarely need much more than a breeze in order to keep the environment comfortable. As for other sustainable design techniques, the roof harvests rainwater for use in the house, and the interior is naturally finished with wood, stone and natural fabrics. We suspect the wood was harvested locally, and can only hope it was done so in a sustainable fashion.

Above all the Leaf House is amazing inspiration for organic design that brings the outdoors in. It protects the inhabitants from rain and sun, while bringing in fresh breezes to cool the interior. The design was originally inspired by Brazil’s Indian Architecture, which used local materials to provide shade, protection and encourage natural breezes for cooling.
